Our Summer Internship Program, beginning in June 2026, provides immersive training and introduction to Santander. You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the internship. The 2026 Santander Summer Internship Program is for undergraduate students who have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027. Santander US is a nationwide business with locations across the country. This position is located in Dallas, TX. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location. You will be given exposure to the innerworkings of one largest financial institutions in the world. As part of the internship program, you will participate in structured professional development opportunities, create connections with peers and meet leaders across Santander. As a Consumer Compliance you will come out of this experience with a strong understanding of consumer compliance requirements. You will gain direct knowledge of regulatory obligations, risk management practices, and compliance related functions such as monitoring, advisory, testing, and analytics. You will discover how to apply soft skills such as communication, influence, public speaking, and presentation skills in real life situations. You will learn how compliance teams support the business in meeting federal and state requirements. You may even get exposure to directly interact with senior executives.

  • Working in teams and independently to develop and lead short-term compliance projects and initiatives.
  • Assisting in the production and review of related materials for various risk forums/committees.
  • Performing quality control audits of internal compliance processes.
  • Gathering and analyzing relevant compliance-related information to create deliverables and establish necessary recommendations on compliance matters such as, Training, Regulatory Change Management, Metrics, Reporting, etc.
  • Executing ad-hoc reporting for senior and executive management as needed.
  • Initiating change, integration, operationalization/automation of new and existing systems and processes.
  • Contributing to the drafting and review of internal compliance procedures and training materials.
  • Partnering with compliance teams to identify and create digital solutions to streamline current processes.
  • An undergraduate student with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027 .
  • Area of Study: Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, or related fields. Students with coursework in Compliance, Legal Studies, or Data Analytics are also encouraged to apply. (inclusive of any preferred major study areas)
  • Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above .
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage.
  • Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required.
  • Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail.
  • Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently on special projects.
  • Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.
  • Exposure to Exposure to regulatory research databases such as Lexis Nexus, Westlaw, etc. (Preferred)
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products. (Preferred)
  • Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. (Preferred)
  • Exposure to programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, etc.
