About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) to provide pre-sales technical expertise and mission-driven solutions to support our Special Operations Forces (SOF) team account activities. We are seeking a highly experienced Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) to provide mission-driven solutions and technical leadership for our SOCOM account activities. This role is designed for a technical leader who excels at capturing complex customer requirements and translating them into integrated, multi-vendor solutions. As a member of a technical team for the account, you will serve as a trusted advisor to SOCOM stakeholders, working in a high-performance team to build consultative relationships. You will bridge the gap between initial concept and mission execution by developing High-Level Designs (HLD), technical whitepapers, and validated configurations that align with the modernization of SOF environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Minimum Active Secret clearance required: Active TS/SCI is highly desired for MacDill-based operations.
  • CCDP, CCNP Enterprise, JNCIP-ENT or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of technical sales or consultation experience in a relevant industry.
  • 8+ years of experience in network design, architecture, and engineering supporting DoD / SOF environments.
  • Expertise in advanced networking principles, network design, and large-scale enterprise architectures.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto Networks (PAN), Gigamon, Zscaler, F5, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Riverbed, or other enterprise solution providers.
  • Understanding of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) and its role in secure DoD networking.
  • Experience in data center networking, hybrid cloud solutions, network segmentation, and network security architectures.
  • Expertise in Zero Trust, SASE, and SD-WAN.
  • Strong ability to engage with senior SOF stakeholders, translate requirements, and deliver tailored network architectures.
  • Data Center Expertise: Strong experience in Data Center infrastructure, including compute, storage, and virtualization, alongside a solid foundation in enterprise networking.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a pre-sales technical consultant and liaison to key SOF stakeholders. Leverage those consultative skills to create new opportunities and gain new customers within the account space.
  • Build and maintain account level relationships with customers, OEMs, and System Integrator (SI) peers. Sustain a close effective partnership with the sales business partner (Account Manager) for business strategy, relationships, customer engagement, partnering, training, and response to business solicitations.
  • Oversee the pre-sales process and help drive effective communication between Sales and Professional Services. Support interactions, planning, and execution with internal WWT services teams, the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) and the North American Integration Center (NAIC).
  • Technical Relationship Management: Build and maintain account-level relationships with SOCOM customers, OEMs, and System Integrator (SI) peers to understand evolving mission needs.
  • Solution Development: Lead technical discussions to capture requirements and develop tailored solutions across Data Center, Compute, and Network domains.
  • Technical Documentation: Author High-Level Designs (HLD), configuration whitepapers, and technical briefings to provide clear roadmaps for mission success.
  • Data Center & Hybrid Cloud: Design and optimize high-performance Data Center environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises compute and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Interdisciplinary Liaison: Act as the primary technical liaison between the customer and internal WWT resources, including the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) and professional services teams.
  • Mission Modernization: Drive digital transformation initiatives that adhere to DoD standards, including Zero Trust, CSfC, and RMF.
  • Execution Accuracy: Assemble accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and quotes that directly reflect the proposed technical solution.
  • CSE’s must have excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and technical skills required to conduct technical workshops, actively participate in customer briefings, and provide hands-on solution demonstrations.
  • Assume technical ownership of all account opportunities, to include acting a liaison to the customer and to any internal WWT or partner resources used to fill knowledge gaps.
