About The Position

The Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) role at World Wide Technology (WWT) involves providing technical pre-sales support for Fortune 500 clients in the Nashville market. This position focuses on aligning with the sales team to deliver innovative technology solutions, including infrastructure modernization and multicloud architecture, while fostering relationships with clients and OEM partners. The CSE will engage in client meetings, presentations, and custom technical design work, leveraging WWT's Advanced Technology Center for training and demonstrations.

Requirements

  • Candidates must live in and/or near Nashville, TN.
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise environments, ideally at larger enterprise companies.
  • Demonstrates a solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to integrate and leverage extensive portfolio of services and OEMs.
  • Strong experience with disciplines such as Collaboration, Data Center Connectivity, Hyper-converged Infrastructure, Unified Communications, Wireless, and Security Infrastructure.
  • Ability to understand a client's business model and determine technical and resource requirements for a solution.
  • Experience with scoping Professional Services and Enterprise Solutions Statements of Work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, product demonstration skills, customer service skills, and presentation skills are required.
  • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco, Dell/EMC, NetApp, HP TSG and/or VMware certifications highly desired.
  • Strong experience with Data Protection, Compute, Storage, Virtualization.

Responsibilities

  • Aligns with WWT Sales team to represent WWT's Networking and Data Center expertise to all assigned accounts.
  • Uses knowledge of technology, products and services to build Data Center solutions for the customer.
  • Works with clients and WWT Sales team to obtain technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into WWT Networking and Data Center opportunities.
  • Responsible for the coordination, delivery, and quality of presales technology solution deliverables within the domain of the opportunity.
  • Manages and achieves a sales gross profit (GP) number.
  • Develops and fosters relationships with strategic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and key data center partners.
  • Assists in Statement of Work and Proof of Concept review and development.
  • Ensures that proposed solutions meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer.
  • Drives networking/storage/server/virtualization solution strategies.
