About The Position

TPMG (The Permanente Medical Group) Consulting services is TPMG's regional (NCAL), internal consulting group. We collaborate with groups inside and outside the organization to shape and build strategy for region-wide goals. Business Consultants consult on performance improvement, strategy, change management, program development and implementation and communication strategies. The team leads quality improvement projects that will scale across the Northern California Region, positively impacting healthcare delivery for millions of people. Together with clinical and consulting partners, this role will plan for and conduct meetings, create action plans, manage projects, organize and drive work, request and interpret data, liaison with others, and develop materials to present in front of clinicians, operational leaders, peers and executives to achieve strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and Minimum four (4) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field OR Masters degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Services Administration, or related field and Minimum two (2) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field OR Minimum seven (7) years experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, operations or a directly related field.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a consultant to ensure the alignment, buy-in, and coordination of diverse stakeholders to drive the implementation of strategic business initiatives and projects/programs across one or more functional tracks or workstreams.
  • Contributes to business strategy, organizational alignment, and prioritization of business initiatives.
  • Leads the work of project/program team members by requesting and coordinating internal and/or external resources.
  • Develops and implements business initiatives, systems, and/or processes to a desired future state.
  • Manages moderately complex, cross-functional projects/programs, and proactively monitors and identifies client, project, program, and/or business risks.
  • Participates in and may lead change management plans associated with business initiatives.
  • Performs assessments of strategic performance metrics to support business initiatives.
  • Supports vendor management as required.
  • Monitors compliance of work activities by ensuring business plans and team members adhere to relevant policies and procedures.
