About The Position
Deloitte Consulting LLP is seeking a Consulting, Senior Solution Specialist to join our team in Austin, Texas, and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. In this role, you will drive software development and implementation services that help companies unlock the value of their significant technology investments. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, from requirements gathering to architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment, whether as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. You will participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams, and identify changes in scope as necessary. As a Senior Solution Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating technology needs, developing customized applications, and drafting both technical and functional design documentation. You will identify and mitigate risks in processes and technology for engagements, perform assessments of existing information systems, and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Additionally, you will estimate the time and resources needed for development work, define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Your role will also involve transforming detailed requirements into comprehensive systems design documents and supporting the creation of interface specifications and call flows for the components in the design. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities. The role requires 15% travel nationally, with telecommuting permitted. Work locations will include various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites across the country.
