Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Consulting Engineer IV / High Touch Engineer (HTE) to deliver, optimize, and support Cisco enterprise networking solutions for strategic customers. This role sits within a professional services environment and requires strong hands-on expertise, customer engagement skills, and leadership in complex network deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in networking, systems engineering, or IT consulting
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco technologies (CCNP-level or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting enterprise or strategic customers in customer-facing roles
  • Solid understanding of routing, switching, security, and network troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional proficiency in Italian and English

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Professional Services, High Touch Operations, or Managed Services
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications (CCNP / CCIE preferred)
  • Exposure to network automation, scripting, or DevNet tools

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize Cisco networking solutions across enterprise customer environments
  • Deliver High Touch services including network architecture, implementation, and optimization
  • Translate business and technical requirements into High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD / LLD)
  • Lead technical delivery activities and act as an escalation point for complex network issues
  • Perform advanced L2/L3 troubleshooting prior to engaging Cisco TAC
  • Support pre-sales and solution validation activities alongside sales teams
  • Collaborate with Cisco account teams, partners, and internal engineering resources
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design deliverables, and knowledge transfer materials
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and anonymization requirements when engaging global Cisco teams
  • Contribute to best practices, technical documentation, and reusable delivery assets
