About The Position

As a Consulting Engineer, you’ll support managers with day‑to‑day processes, repairs, technical analysis, and communication to ensure efficient operations and exceptional service. You’ll work directly with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot equipment, inspect products, and improve overall performance. This role blends hands‑on engineering with problem‑solving, reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in a science or technical field
  • Hands‑on experience with technical products preferred
  • Ability to read schematics and diagrams
  • Skilled in using hand tools and electronic devices
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to lift 30–70 lbs. of equipment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft-based applications: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Assist managers in daily processes, repairs, analysis, and communication
  • Communicate technical information with sales teams and customers
  • Inspect damaged products to determine failure causes and repair costs
  • Program and troubleshoot KEYENCE equipment with customers
  • Report findings to upper management and National Product Directors
  • Complete projects and measure impact on efficiency, cost savings, or profitability
  • Lead small teams and provide feedback when tasks are completed
  • Potential domestic and international travel for several weeks per year
