Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow Ansys' business. As a hands-on, embedded expert in Ansys products, you will use advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical professional services and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience, and business impact. This is a hybrid role that will require the candidate to work on-site with a customer in the San Francisco Bay Area every other week.

  • Lead/Assist in the delivery of specific customer-facing, technical consulting project activities
  • Credibly and professionally execute consulting projects that are sold, as defined in the Statement of Work, resulting in high customer satisfaction and delivering value to our customers
  • Actively engage with the sales teams and customers to identify opportunities to provide consulting services to enhance the utilization of simulation in product development
  • Work as an integral member of the Sales and ACE teams to progress and secure the consulting business
  • Work closely with the ACE team to ensure timely development of effective Statements of Work and Services Proposals
  • Monitor the execution and delivery of consulting projects to ensure customer satisfaction and develop opportunities for follow-up projects
  • Look for opportunities to generate marketing collateral from projects such as success stories, testimonials and presentation material
  • Collaborate with Product Development to improve Ansys software products and the customers' experience using these products
  • Required Education and degree type: MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+0
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages focused on structural mechanics
  • Subject matter expert in one or more relevant disciplines within Ansys' business
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency
  • Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time
  • Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+3, or PhD+0
  • 2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services type customer facing roles using engineering software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ansys Structural simulation software like Ansys Mechanical and Ansys LS-Dyna
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and customer project sponsors
  • Python scripting experience
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of time
