Position Profile Weaver is seeking a Director to expand its Energy Advisory practice with a focus on the power and utilities sector, particularly in relation to data analytics, financial systems, and operational technology. This individual will play a key role in growing Weaver's capabilities in this sector, supporting companies as they operate through the energy transition and a period of heightened investment driven by anticipated expansion of data centers and related IT infrastructure. Our team provides tailored services designed to address the evolving needs of power and utility clients, helping them navigate market dynamics, technology advancements, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a background in selling and delivering solutions to independent power companies and investor-owned utilities. They should have an understanding of utility operations, financial systems integration, and optimizing operational technology processes. This role offers the opportunity to contribute valuable expertise across a wide range of clients and projects. Occasional travel will be required for client engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of industry or consulting experience with a focus on servicing utilities (gas and power) and independent power producers
  • Understanding of commercial strategy
  • Experience performing assessments of emerging technologies and markets
  • Compliance and regulatory strategy
  • Assessment of commercial models and related technologies
  • Data analytics design and implementation
  • Assessment and delivery of transformational projects

  • A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $245,000. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
