Requirements

  • Recognized expert in federal and state air regulations.
  • BS in engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental) or related discipline; advanced certifications (P.E., CSP, CHMM) preferred. Or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years (15+ preferred) of air quality consulting experience with technical depth in Title V, PSD, NSR, BACT, MACT.
  • Proven “seller/doer” track record—winning and delivering large, strategic projects.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Established relationships in Oil & Gas, Energy, Technology, or Chemical sectors in Texas.

Nice To Haves

  • Subject matter expertise in air permitting and compliance; additional experience in air dispersion modeling, storm water, SPCC, RMP/PSM, CEQA permitting, multi-media auditing.
  • Familiarity with stack testing and ambient air measurement.
  • Experience cross-selling EHS, sustainability, and process safety services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic market/business plans to expand ERM’s air quality service area.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities; prepare winning proposals.
  • Direct strategic air permits and compliance programs for industrial clients with complex regulatory challenges.
  • Manage project deliverables, budgets, and schedules to ensure exceptional quality.
  • Serve as a “seller/doer,” driving annual growth in air consulting services.
  • Capitalize on existing client relationships to expand ERM’s profile and market share.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level staff; conduct technical reviews of deliverables.
  • Collaborate globally with ERM practitioners to execute air quality projects and share best practices.
  • Support cross-selling of ERM’s broader consulting services to existing clients.
