Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 16 years of experience; Master’s degree with 14 years of experience; or PhD with 11 years of experience
  • Experience technical leadership skills, effectively interfacing with executives, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and strategic delivery
  • Experience leading technical investigations and Root Cause Corrective Action
  • Experience with mentoring and developing junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and managing risks and opportunities within engineering programs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Test Engineering
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100
  • Experience with production and test of navigation and inertial sensors technology
  • Experience working in Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools (ex. Green Belt, Black Belt)
  • Experience leading teams in production environment
  • System Design Engineering experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Engineering Director on all technical activities across multiple Navigation and Inertial Systems product lines
  • Lead efforts to develop technology roadmaps to support testing of existing and future products
  • Provide technical leadership in solving complex engineering challenges
  • Represent Operations Engineering to enable strong collaboration with Design Engineering; ensure successful transition to production
  • Provide guidance and input on key capture strategies and potential applications
  • Mentor and train key technical concepts to improve understanding of systems and instruments functionality
  • Develop technical training curriculum for navigation and inertial systems technologies
  • Ensure system-level requirements are being met through production acceptance test procedures
  • Drive initiatives for process development, continuous improvement, and affordability within programs
  • Optimize effectiveness of instrument level tests to improve system level yields
  • Act as design authority on assigned product lines
