About The Position

Accurately performs prescription data entry in accordance with company and regulatory standards. 2. Build and maintain accurate medication profiles and MARs (Medication Administration Records) for IPU patients. 3. Understand and apply IPU model variations and profiling requirements for different hospice partners. 4. Review and process faxed medication orders independently, ensuring timely follow-up where needed. 5. Contact hospices to obtain or clarify prescription information and document interactions thoroughly Marginal or Additional Functions 1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education, Licensure or Certification: High school diploma or equivalent Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential Pharmacy Technician in Pennsylvania (PA): must be registered with the PA Board of Pharmacy or obtain registration prior to internal deadline Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee (TN): must be registered with the TN Board of Pharmacy Work Experience or Related Experience Minimum of one (1) year pharmacy technician data entry experience (2+ years preferred) Strong knowledge of brand and generic drug names Familiarity with formulary systems and medication safety protocols Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume setting Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and professional integrity Ability to work independently and collaborate virtually with a dispersed team Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including rotating weekends and holidays Proficiency with Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite Accurate and efficient typing/data entry skills Experience using pharmacy systems such as DocuWare and Infinity Comfort with troubleshooting remote systems and navigating multiple platforms simultaneously Travel Requirements and Conditions No travel is required Work Environment, Conditions and Demands Work is performed from a remote office environment Must have access to high-speed DSL or cable internet connection Physical Requirements and Demands Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions as described. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
  • Pharmacy Technician in Pennsylvania (PA): must be registered with the PA Board of Pharmacy or obtain registration prior to internal deadline
