About The Position
The Consultant at EXLService.com, LLC in New York, NY, will execute consulting engagements in Governance, Risk and Compliance across different areas involving Operational Risk Management, Process Mapping and Documentation, and Process Optimization projects, with a core focus on the insurance industry. As part of conducting Process Mapping & Operational Risk Assessments for clients, schedule information gathering sessions with process owners and SMEs to develop and update end-to-end process flowcharts using BPM tools including MS Visio, iGrafx, and ARIS. Identify and document key controls that mitigate operational risks. Assess/ test internal controls to ensure their design and operating effectiveness and SOX compliance, identify control gaps and recommend potential control enhancements and process improvements to address gaps. Develop and recommend remediation plans and work with business partners to resolve deficiencies through process changes, improvements, identification of automation opportunities or the addition of new processes. Conduct validation sessions with process owners and key stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy of deliverables. Conduct workshops to understand business landscape and propose and execute process optimization projects to improve the quality and efficiency of business processes via lean methodology, business process reengineering, digitalization and automation which involves coordination and alignment with stakeholders. Assist in data driven analysis using tools including MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau. Telecommuting permitted. Position will work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
