About The Position

Provide regional leadership, technical assistance, and staff development to ESC-20 clients for the Teacher Orientation Preparation Program (TOPP). Support the delivery of TOPP content through appropriate integration of technology and tools, utilizing a variety of workshop delivery systems (e.g., online, onsite, distance learning, etc.).

Requirements

  • Master's degree required from an accredited university.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for assigned areas required.
  • Three years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and provide training on a variety of topics.
  • Demonstrated effective job-related skills that model effective integration technology.
  • Demonstrated competence with assisting others to appropriately integrate technology into the curriculum.
  • Experience working with the public to identify needs and provide information.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once in an organized and expedient manner.
  • Possess current knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
  • Experience in facilitating groups.
  • Experience in planning and conducting staff development/training.
  • Proficiency with standard functions with electronic applications on both mobile and traditional devices (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, G Suite, Apps) and email.
  • Proficiency with computers (PCs and/or MACs) to include desktop management, file management and operations, and working in a network environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate groups to move through content in a way that builds capacity in making effective decisions regarding instructional strategies for elementary students, and performance standards and measures for students.
  • Provide support to TOPP interns in the field through observations and feedback.
  • Serve as the point of contact for EC-12 TOPP candidates/interns.
  • Work collaboratively with staff for Oracle database improvement and maintenance.
  • Attend job fairs and recruit applicants for the Personnel Cooperative.
  • Provide training, leadership, and assistance in the development and delivery of staff development that effectively integrates technology and interactive Web-based tools and applications.
  • Train TOPP staff in appropriate techniques for distance learning and on the proper use of technology tools and equipment.
  • Create and support content delivery learning enhancements and program website enhancements.
  • Ensure support for TOPP distance learning and online technologies and methodologies.
  • Ensure all TOPP distance-learning classes are efficiently and effectively delivered, updated and maintained.
  • Provide prompt responses and support to online TOPP postings by interns.
  • Communicate program information to prospective TOPP candidates and district personnel.
  • Deliver products/services in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate, organize and maintain student and adjunct records related to all online courses and learning.
