Consultant Teacher - for Summer Work Program

About the position

This is for a Summer Work position and is not considered a BOCES ESY position. The position is located at Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; Regional Programs and Services. The term of employment is for various dates available, from June 2025 through August 2025. The salary range is $32.33 - $52.43 per hour or your 2025-26 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff. Actual salary is dependent upon education, experience, and contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to students in needed content areas.
• Travel to school district buildings, students' homes, hospitals or other community locations for direct instruction.
• Complete all required documentation and follow department procedures.
• Provide written assessment/progress reports to the school districts and the BOCES Consultant Teacher and Tutoring Services office.
• Effectively communicate among home, school staff, district and community agencies.

Requirements

• Certification in Special Education.
• Certification in various content areas preferred.
• Experience working with students who exhibit learning disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of the NYS Standards, Common Core and NYS Assessments.
• Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
