About The Position
The Consultant position within the State and Local Government practice at Guidehouse offers a unique opportunity to engage with various governmental entities, including states, counties, cities, non-profits, and multi-lateral clients. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in public service through economic development, sustainability initiatives, disaster recovery efforts, and more. As a consultant, you will be involved in delivering high-impact solutions to complex business and technology challenges faced by our clients. Your work will encompass a wide range of areas such as organizational strategy, technology strategy, market analysis, financial modeling, operational analysis, process improvement, change management, risk management, compliance monitoring, and program management. The goal is to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans that drive meaningful change in the public sector. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals and engage with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions. You will have the opportunity to conduct baseline assessments, build future state visions, and develop implementation plans while managing multiple stakeholders. This position is ideal for recent graduates or those currently enrolled in an accredited degree program, with a focus on business, public policy, urban planning, economics, engineering, math, computer science, or environmental science/studies. The expected start date for this position is summer 2025, allowing you to gain valuable experience and contribute to impactful projects that enhance the effectiveness of state and local governments.
