Job Description We are seeking a Consultant Software Engineer to lead solutioning and engineering efforts within our Digital Assistants’ space as a Tech Lead. This role is ideal for a seasoned technologist who thrives on building scalable solutions, mentoring engineering talent, and driving excellence in software development practices. You will play a pivotal role in all phases of Digital Assistant initiatives spanning across the Enterprise, designing high & low level integrations, Saas platform health & tuning, system enhancements for security, efficiencies & automation, data & analytics enablement, and the Dev/Sec/Ops to support it. You will also lead and mentor a team of engineers instilling high standards in security & code quality, E2E feature lead delivery, and operational excellence. Specific Skills & Attributes Required Technical Strong API Integration Background Extensive experience with API development, including API life-cycle management. Familiarity with Apigee or other API Management platforms is a strong plus. Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and microservices architecture. Programming Languages Extensive hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, and Node.js. Ability to write clean, efficient, maintainable, and scalable code across multiple services and layers. AWS Cloud Services Expertise Proven experience with: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CodePipeline, CloudFormation or AWS CDK. Leadership & Strategic Thinking Technical Leadership Ability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and set engineering standards. Lead architectural decisions and technical roadmaps. Product Collaboration Partner with Product Team members to translate business goals into technical solutions. Understand user needs and shape the Digital Assistant capabilities accordingly. Cross-Functional Role & Team Collaboration Comfortable working with internal team members (Product – UX – IT) and external teams for integration and E2E ownership/validation. Able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Able to work and drive to completion E2E solutions across multiple teams/areas. Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Apigee or other API Management platforms is a strong plus.
  • Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
  • Three years of experience in project management is preferred.

  • Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Mentors and trains other team members on design techniques, tools and coding standards.
  • Provides strategic advice on using technology to achieve goals.
  • Drives cross-collaboration and execution of projects across multiple teams.
  • Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards and optimal practices.
