As Consultant, Marketing Management you will utilize a mastery of marketing competencies to lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies designed to target independent agents to support critical standard lines business objectives. As a Consultant, you are responsible for leading and/or assisting the overall development and execution of marketing strategies using highly advanced marketing principles and standard methodologies. You will execute on future business or marketing needs driven by quantitative data/research, competitive insights and/or consumer behaviors. We'll count on you to ensure a strong focus on end-to-end customer experience, delivering outstanding customer experience overall.

Requirements

  • A strategist who can translate complex business needs into actionable, measurable marketing strategies
  • Understands customer journeys and how to apply marketing automation and personalization capabilities to implement effective nurture paths
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively navigate complex organizations
  • Acumen in brand building and content marketing
  • Performance driven marketing mindset and relentless focus on business impact
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred.
  • Typically eight or more years related professional experience in marketing, strategy, consulting, financial services, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing methodologies, insurance and/or financial services products, distribution systems, and customers.
  • Knowledge of project leadership concepts and methodologies.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written skills needed to develop and review research studies, communicate research findings, market recommendations based on findings, and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to lead and prioritize projects.
  • Ability to function independently or in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrates core marketing proficiencies, including strategy development, utilization of insights and analytics, building brand equity and developing effective marketing communications.
  • Skilled at customer focus, operating capabilities, personal effectiveness, and strategic capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Technical financial services designations such as FINRA, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI considered a plus.
  • Additional licensing may be required to hold this position; and associates will need to acquire the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit. Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented. If an associate fails or is unable to acquire required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting Nationwide's digital experiences to the intermediated channel including Nationwide Express and Agent Center capabilities
  • Leading our B2B2C content strategy to ensure a complete marketing library for agents to use with customers within both Seismic and Marketing Central
  • Supporting New Business activation by launching new and helping manage existing agency nurture paths in-market
  • Collaborating with our P&C advertising team manage our quarterly near-market PL advertising campaigns
  • Launching and overseeing the marketing activation of Nationwide Rewards Points, a new producer level rewards program
  • Assists in the development and execution of strategies and plans that ensure long term sustainable growth of the business. Synthesizes data and uses this understanding to support identification and innovation of business building solutions
  • Leads projects and processes within area of responsibility to deliver results with multiple target completion dates and shifting priorities.
  • Implements digital and traditional marketing tactics and media, including creative development process, planning, and execution.
  • Collaborates on and/or may lead creative development, and provides feedback on look and feel. Develops creative briefs.
  • Monitors emerging innovative trends in content, design and marketing tactics
  • Reviews and uses customer insights and analytics and tools to understand and forecast market, competitor and customer needs and behavior, define appropriate target audiences, evaluate sufficiency, and effectively get results with data-based decisions.
  • Ensures programs are on strategy and on schedule.
