About The Position

As a Consultant II in Guidehouse's Energy Transition team, you will engage with energy companies, global corporations, financial institutions, and governments to facilitate the transition of the energy system. This role involves utilizing market knowledge and technical skills to support clients in adapting to emerging technologies and decarbonization pressures. You will follow a defined career path, enhancing your consulting skills and project management abilities, with opportunities for advancement to Senior Consultant. Your work will include data analysis, report writing, and presenting findings to clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 0 years of experience.
  • Master's Degree (must still be enrolled in an accredited degree program in 2024 and graduate by Summer of 2025).
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the country; no sponsorship is available.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree/Majors Preferred: Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical (Power Systems), Chemical, Environmental), Business, Economics, and/or related to Environment or Sustainability.
  • Familiarity with economic and financial analysis and research.
  • Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Heightened attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an interest in learning more about the energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Data collection, analysis, and cleaning including reviewing technical studies, methodologies, and public data.
  • Fact-finding, research, and analysis, particularly around emerging trends and technologies.
  • Reviewing new and evolving industry methodologies.
  • Project documentation, including report writing and PowerPoint deck development.
  • Communicating solutions and new strategies to clients and stakeholders.
  • Supporting energy system modeling and technical studies.
