Impact You'll Make Stout is looking for Consultants to support our Healthcare practice and join our growing firm. At Stout, expectations are high but empowering. Quite simply, you will get the developmental benefits of big firm clients with the high touch of a boutique culture. What You'll Do Consultants are integral to Stout’s success as a firm. As a Consultant in our Healthcare practice, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing the data that will enable the strong delivery of work to our exclusive list of clients across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, managed care, and health IT sectors.

Requirements

  • BA or BS required with a clear track record of academic excellence in fields such as Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Economics, Business, or related fields
  • 1-3 years of relevant prior experience in pharmaceutical strategy consulting, market access advisory, commercialization strategy, or biopharma strategy
  • Experience supporting market access, pricing, and launch strategy initiatives within branded pharmaceuticals or specialty therapeutics
  • Knowledge of the drug development lifecycle from late-stage clinical through commercialization
  • Strong ability to translate clinical data into differentiated value propositions for payers and providers
  • An aptitude for networking and executive-level interviewing
  • Advanced business acumen and analytical skills
  • Strong communication, writing, and critical-thinking skills
  • Work ethic, dedicated, organized, detail-oriented, and accountable
  • Time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be eligible to work in the US, without employer sponsorship, at the time of hire and in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (Master’s, PharmD, or Ph.D.) in a relevant life sciences field or other relevant degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand healthcare and life sciences markets, including patient needs, competitive dynamics, and industry trends
  • Engage with key stakeholders such as clinicians, payers, industry experts, and healthcare organizations to gather insights on market dynamics
  • Analyze and synthesize data from clinical, commercial, and market sources to identify key trends
  • Support go-to-market strategy development, including market segmentation, customer targeting, and positioning
  • Contribute to market assessments such as market sizing, competitive analysis, and growth opportunity identification
  • Assist in evaluating pricing, reimbursement, and access considerations across healthcare and life sciences markets
  • Help translate complex clinical and business information into clear, client-ready deliverables
  • Support due diligence and strategy engagements by executing key workstreams and delivering high-quality analyses
  • Travel as needed to support coverage of industry conferences and key events, summarizing relevant insights
  • Positively contribute to the dynamic, high-achieving atmosphere of the firm
