About The Position

Woodston Personnel is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our reputable client’s medical team in Saudi Arabia. This position is ideal for a dedicated physician with expertise in managing a variety of gastrointestinal disorders. The Consultant will play a key role in delivering outstanding patient care through the provision of comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services in gastroenterology. The successful candidate will be committed to the principles of patient-centered care and will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality treatment and follow-up for patients with chronic digestive diseases, liver disorders, and other gastrointestinal conditions.

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Specialist qualification in Gastroenterology (e.g., FRCP, FRCPE, or equivalent)
  • At least 3-5 years of post-consultant experience in a comprehensive gastroenterology practice
  • Eligibility for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal complaints.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including endoscopy, colonoscopy, and other minimally invasive interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex medical issues.
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities to advance the department's goals.
  • Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care in line with hospital policies.
  • Offer guidance and support to junior medical staff and fellows in the gastroenterology department.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and educational conferences.
