As a C onsultant , Environmental Health and Safety within the San Francisco Bay Area, California (San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Clara, etc.), you’ll be on the front lines—helping clients navigate regulatory landscapes, mitigate risks, and implement best-in-class safety programs. Your work will directly influence how organizations operate safely and sustainably. What Your Impact Is Serve as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 clients, providing onsite support and strategic guidance. Conduct safety risk assessments, inspections, and observations to ensure compliance and protect personnel. Help develop and implement innovative EHS programs in areas such as Hazard Communication, Injury Illness Prevention, Chemical Management, and Process Safety. Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions. Build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality solutions that exceed expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related science (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of EHS experience with private-sector clients.
  • Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) or Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC).
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and client-focused.
  • Willingness to travel to and be at client site(s) for up to 40 hours/week primarily within the Northern California San Fran Bay Area, California.
  • Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 clients, providing onsite support and strategic guidance.
  • Conduct safety risk assessments, inspections, and observations to ensure compliance and protect personnel.
  • Help develop and implement innovative EHS programs in areas such as Hazard Communication, Injury Illness Prevention, Chemical Management, and Process Safety.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Help develop and implement innovative safety programs, to help our growing local and global clients address a wide array of Safety challenges including: Auditing/Assessments, Behavior-Based Safety, Biohazards, Chemical or Lab Safety, Data Analysis, Electrical Safety and NFPA 70E, Fire Prevention, Industrial Hygiene, Laser Safety, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding, Process Hazard Assessments, Robotics Safety, Safety Process Improvement.
  • Perform building hazardous materials inspections, oversight, and sampling.
  • Support construction safety, industrial hygiene, and behavior-based safety initiatives.
  • Conduct audits, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations.
  • Collect and analyze field data; prepare technical reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement EHS programs and strategies.
  • Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance across all deliverables.
