Overall Purpose This role sets, drives, and supports execution of enterprise strategy across business, technology, and operations, working closely with executive leadership to define and deliver 1–3 year technology strategic plans that create durable competitive advantage for Early Warning and its network. The role spans enterprise strategic planning, growth strategy, technology and operational strategy, and inorganic initiatives, partnering with Business, Product, Technology, Operations, and M&A teams to shape roadmaps, evaluate build/buy/partner decisions, and execute a portfolio of strategic bets. Given Early Warning’s unique position in the financial services value chain, this work directly influences not only internal performance, scalability, and resilience, but also the broader banking and fintech ecosystem. The role reports into senior leadership (Director of Corporate Strategy & Planning / COO of Technology) and maintains high visibility across the organization, with frequent interaction with the C-suite, senior executives, and external partners across banking, fintech, and technology.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or venture capital
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Effective communicator, able to convey complex business and technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Proven ability to build trust, influence senior stakeholders, and operate effectively in cross-functional environments
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous settings and can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Background and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain)
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis skills in Excel; familiarity with accounting and key operational metrics
  • Experience in payments, risk insights, digital identity, banking, fintech, or enterprise technology platforms
  • Experience driving complex strategic initiatives within financial services, including alignment across business, technology, and operations leaders

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise & Strategic Planning Lead and manage enterprise strategic planning processes across 5, 3, and 1 year horizons, driving clarity, focus, and prioritization Align business, product, technology, and operations leaders on strategic objectives, investment decisions, and resource allocation
  • Growth & Enterprise Strategy Definition Develop compelling strategy recommendations that strengthen competitive advantage by integrating market trends, competitive dynamics, internal capabilities, and platform assets Shape future-state enterprise, technology, and operating models that improve scalability, resilience, execution velocity, and cost efficiency
  • Technology & Operational Strategy Influence technology and platform roadmaps to enhance reliability, security, performance, and total cost of ownership Evaluate tradeoffs across resiliency, time-to-market, performance, and operational risk Partner closely with Technology and Operations leadership to guide platform enablement and execution priorities
  • Strategic Initiatives & Business Case Development Develop qualitative and quantitative business cases to support enterprise and functional prioritization, budgeting, and monetization of new initiatives Perform build / buy / partner analyses and evaluate strategic investments across business and technology domains
  • Market, Industry & Inorganic Growth Identify and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities including acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic platform capabilities Support end-to-end M&A execution, including diligence, synergy assessment, integration planning, and operational risk evaluation
  • Program & Initiative Leadership Lead strategy initiatives or transaction workstreams end-to-end—from problem definition and analysis through executive recommendation, execution, and integration Coordinate across Business, Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Legal, and external stakeholders
  • Strategic Governance & Executive Advisory Build, facilitate, and manage strategic committees, forums, and advisory boards to drive cross-functional alignment Synthesize insights, frame decisions, and support executive-level governance and tradeoff discussions
  • Analytical & Creative Problem Solving Structure complex enterprise, technology, and operational challenges Develop hypotheses, conduct rigorous analysis, and deliver actionable, data-driven recommendations
  • Customer, Platform & Innovation Enablement Partner with teams to explore new technologies, platforms, operating models, and business capabilities that enhance customer outcomes and market leadership
  • Risk, Security & Compliance Support the organization’s commitment to protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data through adherence to all security policies, procedures, and controls
