The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the construction of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves direct interaction with clients and collaboration with various departments to facilitate smooth project execution. The Construction Manager may also lead a team of Project Coordinators, Project Administrators, and other Construction Managers, depending on the project's scope.

  • Review project proposals and plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for project completion, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all contractual terms and obligations of projects are maintained.
  • Monitor project costs and meet with the VP of PM if costs exceed budget, obtaining permission for out-of-budget expenses.
  • Assure proper accounting for project change orders.
  • Interface with necessary departments and subcontractors to schedule work and materials.
  • Meet with customers and vendors to identify potential barriers and develop resolutions that maximize production and minimize costs.
  • Visit job sites as needed, which may include out-of-state travel.
  • Prepare reports for management and meet with key personnel to ensure project timeliness.
  • Confer with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Detailers, and Plant and Field crews to verify accuracy and completeness of construction drawings.
  • Review plans and proposals to determine proper procedures for achieving company goals.
  • Document all aspects of projects to protect GrayWolf's interests.
  • Direct, coordinate, and monitor activities completed by project teams to ensure overall quality of work.
  • At least five (5) years of related Construction Management experience, or eight (8) years as a Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager in the industrial construction industry.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Structural/Civil Engineering, or Business is highly preferred.
