About The Position

The Construction Worker plays a vital role in the successful completion of commercial building projects by performing a wide range of physical tasks that support construction activities. This position involves working collaboratively with a team to ensure that structures are built safely, efficiently, and to the required specifications. The Construction Worker is responsible for preparing and maintaining job sites, handling materials, and operating tools and equipment necessary for various construction phases. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to minimize risks and maintain a productive work environment. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the creation and renovation of commercial properties that meet quality standards and client expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in construction work, particularly in commercial building environments.
• Basic knowledge of demolition, carpentry, drywall installation, plumbing, and painting.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and the use of personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in OSHA safety training or equivalent.
• Experience with specialized commercial construction equipment and tools.
• Additional training or certification in plumbing or carpentry.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition tasks including dismantling and removing old structures or materials safely and efficiently.
• Carry out carpentry duties such as framing, installing doors, windows, and other woodwork components.
• Install drywall and prepare surfaces for finishing, ensuring smooth and even application.
• Assist with plumbing and painting tasks as needed to support the overall construction process.
• Engage in manual and general labor activities including site cleanup, material handling, and equipment operation.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other tradespeople to complete projects on schedule and according to specifications.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
