About The Position

We are seeking a General Laborer to assist with basement waterproofing and structural foundation repair projects across the greater Fort Wayne area. The ideal candidate is dependable, shows up on time, works hard, and is willing to learn a specialized trade with real long-term earning potential. No prior waterproofing experience is preferred but not required. A strong work ethic and a positive attitude are non-negotiables. Scope of Work General Laborers assist in the installation and repair of the following systems: Basement Waterproofing Systems Interior drain tile systems Sump pumps and discharge lines Crawl space encapsulation and vapor barriers Dehumidifiers Exterior excavation and foundation waterproofing Crack repairs and sealants Structural Foundation Repairs Installation of concrete piers Wall anchors and steel bracing systems Carbon fiber reinforcement systems Concrete breaking (jackhammer), removal, and replacement Footer preparation and backfilling Concrete wall form installation and bracing

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and positive, team-first attitude
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Ability to follow directions and take instruction from the Foreman
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use basic hand and power tools
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the warehouse
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to pass a background check and/or drug screening
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs consistently throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, crawl spaces, and damp or wet environments
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round
  • Capable of repetitive bending, digging, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods
  • Able to stand and perform physical labor for the full duration of a workday

Nice To Haves

  • Prior construction, labor, or trade experience (waterproofing, concrete, excavation, landscaping, etc.)
  • Familiarity with power tools and job site equipment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Dig trenches, break concrete, and remove debris using jackhammers, shovels, and hand tools
  • Operate power tools including rotary hammers, angle grinders, reciprocating saws, and wet/dry vacuums
  • Assist with lifting and placing heavy materials — concrete, stone, steel beams, pipe, and equipment
  • Load and unload trucks; organize tools and materials at the start and end of each day
  • Assist with excavation, backfilling, and site grading as directed
  • Support installation of waterproofing systems, drainage components, and structural repair products
  • Follow all instructions from the Foreman promptly and without hesitation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site throughout the workday
  • Assist with job site setup at the start of the day and full cleanup at close-out
  • Handle tools and materials with care, reporting any damage, loss, or malfunction to the Foreman immediately
  • Represent Interior Channel professionally in front of customers and on all job sites
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Follow all safety protocols and site-specific procedures as directed by the Foreman
  • Report any unsafe conditions, near-misses, or injuries to the Foreman immediately
  • Participate in pre-job safety briefings and follow all containment and shutdown procedures
