About The Position

The Entry Level Heavy Equipment Operator position involves operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, backhoes, and excavators for various construction tasks. The role is essential for preparing sites for construction and excavation, as well as maintaining and operating equipment for building infrastructure like bridges and roads. Training will be provided to ensure proficiency in equipment operation and safety protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient in reading work plans.
• Ability to work after hours, weekends, overtime, and emergency holidays.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, backhoes, and excavators for construction and excavation tasks.
• Prepare sites for construction and excavation activities.
• Use excavating equipment to dig trenches for irrigation and pipe installation.
• Perform maintenance on heavy equipment as needed.
