The Construction Technologist I will be responsible for the use and maintenance of Robotic Total Stations, GNSS units and 3D laser scanners. Ideal candidates must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to act independently and have a strong knowledge base of electrical construction trade.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
0-3 years of trade-related experience.
Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be able to act independently and have a strong knowledge base of electrical construction trade.
Travel: 20-75%
This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Overtime may be required. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Performs 3D laser scanning for the creation of point clouds.
Performs layout work on projects as needed.
Ensures that tools are maintained and calibrated, including updating software as needed and coordinating necessary repairs.
Works with Project Manager, Constructability Manager, and Superintendent to determine where use of RTS and 3D scanning will benefit the project and establishes equipment and operator needs.
Coordinates with site surveyor and general contractor as needed to establish and maintain project control.
Gains knowledge in the use of Autodesk products, Excellerate workflow, surveying practices and how it works together with the RTS and laser scanner.
Actively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
