This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.  Construction employees participate in an on-call schedule assigned by seniority.  This position will require occasional after-hours and weekend overtime hours The job consists of general pipeline construction work including, but not limited to:

Requirements

  • High School graduate
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL before the first day of work and obtain a Tanker’s Endorsement.
  • A safe driving record is a requirement
  • Ability to walk long distances over rough terrain required
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds required
  • Ability to climb in and out of excavations of up to 12 feet deep while carrying 25 pounds required
  • Ability to work in all types of inclement weather (heat, cold, rain, etc.) required
  • Must pass a job specific physical examination and drug screen as administered by designated company clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Shoveling, Hand digging, Raking
  • Assisting the welder with both steel welds and plastic fusion
  • Spotting for the equipment operator while digging ditches and uncovering existing utility lines
  • Running errands
  • Training for plastic fusion of pipelines
