About The Position

At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, as a Construction Tech II, you will be responsible for the coordination, orchestration, and procurement of the necessary equipment and construction materials needed to complete a facility build-out. You will also be responsible for performing construction, maintenance, and repairs in all new and existing facilities.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ building and or maintenance experience is required.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Daily use of a tablet may be required.

Responsibilities

• Acquiring the necessary equipment for each new facility.
• Coordinating the build-out phase of new facilities.
• Performing general carpentry and maintenance projects at all facilities.
• Performing basic electrical, drywall, and plumbing installations.
• Maintaining logs and project files as directed.
• Inspecting and repairing emergency exits and other lighting as required.
• Following all safety procedures when repairing or replacing items as assigned; adhere to and support the Organization’s safety and security program.
• Utilizing and ensuring the use of Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.
