About The Position

As a Construction Surveillance Technician with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: Support Site Security Manager (SSM) and Special Security Representative (SSR) functions as assigned; act as the SSM/SSR in absence of primary. Conduct daily checks of secured and un-secured areas on the worksite. Ensure all construction personnel on the job site constantly display the required badging and have access to certain areas. Provide surveillance of construction personnel during performance at the worksite. Maintain daily security log of all workers entering/exiting the worksite Operate proposed inspection equipment. Utilize knowledge of all construction disciplines, to include civil architectural, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering principles. Read and analyze designs and blueprints and recognize the architect's intended use. You will analyze designs and structural complexities, which are intended to mask an ulterior purpose not intended by the architect. Exercise knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles, and the types of devices used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for the purpose of clandestine surveillance. Write detailed reports in English and complete the analyses of issues, findings, and security situations. Maintain daily logs during their tour of duty.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI Clearance (Active)
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
  • Capable of independent decision making, possess a high degree of individual initiative and be able to function with minimal supervision.
  • 3-5 Years of security experience specifically related to ICD 705 (SCIF/SAPF) Construction, Intelligence Operations, Counter-Intelligence Operations, Counter-Surveillance Operations, Technical Surveillance Counter-Measures, Physical Security, or a combination of these experiences
  • Knowledge and experience with security documentation relative to SCIF and SAPF construction and accreditation.
  • 3-5 years experience working as a CST.
  • 3-5 years experience working as a Cleared American Guard (CAG).
  • Ability to stand, walk for several hours while at the worksite.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours, work outdoors in all seasons and lift up to 25 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Active Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) Certification preferred
  • Site Security Managers Training or Certification desired
