About The Position

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a CST joining our team to provide security support to the Department of the Air Force. The CST's primary function is to provide day to day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts. Performance shall include: Assesses, identifies and communicates recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems. Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks. Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders. Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security, and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead. Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces. Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.

Requirements

• 1 + years of related experience
• US Citizenship Required
• Current clearance as defined in the Task Order: must obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start, and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence polygraph.
• DoD SkillBridge Eligibility: Has served at least 180 days on active duty
• Can participate within the last 6 months of separation or retirement
• Will receive an honorable discharge
• Has taken any service TAP/TGPS
• Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
• Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of the fellowship.

Nice To Haves

• 1 – 2 years related experience
• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
• Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
• Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.
• Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements)
