About The Position

The Construction Support Specialist I at Edgewater Technical Associates is responsible for planning and executing construction support activities, utilizing sound engineering judgment. This role involves applying technical knowledge across various construction disciplines, leading small to mid-size projects, and providing solutions to complex problems while ensuring compliance with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study.
  • Eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences including coworkers, management, clients, and contractors.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious manner.

Responsibilities

  • Applies diversified knowledge of construction and technical principles, practices, and methods for a range of assignments.
  • Implements and executes construction support activities on small to mid-size projects worldwide.
  • Functions as the lead for construction support activities on intermediate size projects.
  • Develops methods, techniques, and procedures for the implementation and troubleshooting of special construction discipline work processes.
  • Supports projects located in the office and in the field.
  • Analyzes and makes independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity.
  • Organizes and prioritizes a variety of assignments and multiple tasks effectively and timely.
