About The Position

Velox, LLC. is seeking a Construction Support Manager to serve as a key operational partner to our Vice President of Operations and to lead our Project Administration function. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our construction operations are supported by strong coordination, accurate data, reliable documentation, and consistent follow-through. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and growing into a leadership role. The Construction Support Manager will be hands-on initially; helping execute and stabilize workflows-while also developing the team, systems, and standards that allow the function to scale over time.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in OSP telecom construction, utility construction, operations support, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting senior operational leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise a small administrative or operations support team.
  • Strong understanding of construction support functions, including permitting, utility locates, documentation, job tracking, and billing support.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; experience with construction or operations systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Vice President of Operations by organizing operational priorities, tracking initiatives, and ensuring follow-through across the organization.
  • Lead and develop the Project Administration team, setting clear expectations and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Initially assist with construction support activities such as permitting, utility locates, documentation, and work order closeout, transitioning execution to the team as capacity grows.
  • Oversee construction documentation, job tracking, and billing support activities, partnering with Operations and Finance to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and oversee operational data, reporting, and metrics that provide leadership visibility into performance and risks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and processes to better support field operations and leadership.
  • Step in as needed to resolve issues and ensure continuity during high-volume or transitional periods.
