About The Position

The Construction Supervisor 2 will coordinate and supervise all aspects of the construction process for AOR, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support the build strategy and key event schedule. This role involves managing project expectations with team members and stakeholders to ensure quality and safety standards are met and work is performed as scheduled within contract specifications. The supervisor will identify and expedite the resolution of design, material, grouping, scheduling, manpower, or other problems that could risk critical path work. They will liaise with trades’ management to control cost performance within AOR, including determining overtime requirements and identifying/managing cost drivers. The position also requires assessing all growth work and/or contract funded point changes to ensure funding is authorized and work is integrated and achievable within schedule, identifying impacts and potential risks, and devising contingency plans. Responsibilities include performing various inspections such as preliminary structural, tank/void, yard final, inspection to support release of concealing materials, compartment and system turnover, and test inspections. The supervisor will document discrepancies and issue them to the responsible party for corrections, and assess safety risks within AOR to develop appropriate mitigation plans.

Requirements

  • 3 years Construction Supervisor 1 experience
  • OR 2 years CS1 experience and 2 years planning/production control experience
  • OR High School + 6 years production supervisor experience
  • OR BS/Apprentice + 4 years exempt related experience (Planning, Production Control, Engineering, Construction/Project, Merchant Marine)
  • OR 3 years Military E-6 and above

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Responsibilities
