About The Position
Construction SuperintendentHMD Construction and Development, a Raleigh-based commercial contractor, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to manage the daily operations of assigned projects. This role requires strong construction knowledge, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, and maintenance requirements
- Proven leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, high-quality jobsite
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, supervising personnel and subcontractors
- Review project plans and maintain thorough knowledge of all building components and systems
- Meet with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and government officials to resolve conflicts and coordinate solutions
- Anticipate potential issues and implement cost-effective, timely remedies
- Document daily jobsite activities and upload photos to Procore
- Enforce and model company safety standards and protocols
- Assist with special projects or additional duties as needed
