About The Position

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management and onsite operation of Power Systems projects nationwide. This role involves scheduling projects, managing shipments, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders. The superintendent supervises installation activities and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget while adhering to safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Degree or Technical Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience in project management or five years in heavy equipment or construction management preferred.
  • One year of power generation experience or one year of construction experience required.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Strong technical aptitude in electrical power generation and project management practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer software including MS Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Power Systems projects nationwide.
  • Schedule projects and manage shipments.
  • Review equipment for completeness and quality.
  • Prioritize tasks for field personnel and attend meetings.
  • Communicate with Project Manager, customers, and contractors on-site.
  • Supervise installation activities ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Evaluate and implement project work plans to optimize customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships vital to project success.
  • Proactively communicate project status, challenges, and risks to management.
  • Execute plans using available resources while maintaining timeline and cost controls.
  • Perform daily Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) to ensure compliance with project drawings.
  • Manage installation to project schedule to ensure on-time delivery and completion.
  • Ensure all regulations are met and required permits are acquired.
  • Identify potential disputes or claims in project designs and construction requirements.
  • Monitor and report ongoing project status operationally and financially.
  • Select and oversee subcontractors and vendors for specific tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities and final reviews post-completion.
