About The Position

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, monitoring safety compliance, and preparing daily reports on project progress. The Superintendent must have a thorough understanding of project specifications and contracts, and will manage all phases of the construction process, from pre-construction to final inspections.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in construction fields.
• Minimum of OSHA-30 certification.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills, able to speak before groups.

Nice To Haves

• Construction management experience (1 year preferred).
• Driver's License (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects by coordinating subcontractors and ensuring project schedules are met.
• Prepare daily reports with progress photos and monitor OSHA safety compliance.
• Coordinate required inspections for various trades and governing agencies.
• Review contract drawings and specifications, identifying any design deficiencies or challenges.
• Complete or assist in the development of site procedures, schedules, and safety plans.
• Ensure that all subcontractors participate in safety pre-construction meetings and have current insurance certificates.
• Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings to monitor and manage project progress.
• Manage subcontractor performance to meet schedule and quality expectations.
• Document and report site activities and progress throughout the construction process.
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA and governing requirements and the project's site-specific safety plan.
