Construction Superintendent / Construction Project Manager Location: Seattle, Washington Kassam Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent / Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects in the Seattle, WA area. This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing people, projects, safety, and quality from planning through completion. Overview The Construction Superintendent / Construction Project Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership across all construction activities. This role oversees field personnel, subcontractors, safety programs, schedules, budgets, and compliance to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

Requirements

  • Willingness to relocate to the Seattle, WA area
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management or superintendent roles
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, AHJ codes, and safety regulations
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and subcontractor relationships
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce jobsite safety protocols
  • Conduct regular safety inspections
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety standards
  • Define project scope and objectives
  • Create and manage detailed schedules and milestones
  • Coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors to keep projects on track
  • Develop and manage project budgets
  • Estimate costs and approve expenditures
  • Negotiate contracts and manage financial adjustments as needed
  • Assign tasks based on skill and experience
  • Balance workloads and manage daily field operations
  • Oversee procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and labor
  • Coordinate closely with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Identify potential project risks
  • Develop and maintain contingency plans
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments to avoid delays or cost overruns
  • Establish and enforce quality standards
  • Conduct site inspections
  • Ensure compliance with AHJ codes, building standards, and client requirements
  • Address quality issues promptly and train teams on best practices
  • Lead regular project meetings
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams
  • Provide consistent project updates and documentation
