About The Position

The Construction Subcontracts Program Manager at BAE Systems is responsible for overseeing and managing subcontracts related to major modernization projects within the Ordnance Systems line of business. This role involves ensuring that all subcontracted work meets project specifications, quality standards, budget constraints, and schedules. The position requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop strategic plans for subcontract management, while also acting as the primary liaison between subcontractors and the program management office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Architecture, Contract Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management) and 10+ years of experience in Construction Management.
• Experience managing large construction projects/subcontracts.
• Skilled in negotiations.
• Well versed in managing quality, budget, and schedule.
• Ability to manage milestone objectives and performance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an Owner's Representative on large industrial projects.
• MBA, PMP or DAWIA PM certifications.
• Registered Architect or Professional Engineering certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, negotiate, and manage assigned subcontracts to meet project specifications, quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Act as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office.
• Author, manage, and influence critical path releases of Statements of Works (SOWs) and plans to align with required schedules and subcontractor lead times.
• Develop sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs and execution.
• Participate in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company related to outsourced project portions.
• Establish milestone objectives and manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
