About The Position

The Construction Coordinator supports the Project Manager and Construction Manager in delivering CDBG-funded manufactured home demolition and replacement projects. This role focuses on coordination, documentation, subcontractor support, pricing, and quality follow-through rather than hands-on construction. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and keep construction activities moving through strong communication and follow-up.

Requirements

  • Experience in construction coordination, project support, or construction administration
  • Familiarity with subcontractor coordination and construction workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license; limited travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Manufactured housing or disaster recovery experience
  • Exposure to CDBG, HUD, FEMA, or public-sector construction programs
  • Experience with subcontractor onboarding, pricing, or invoice review
  • Familiarity with construction quality control or inspection processes

Responsibilities

  • Assist with client-facing construction updates and reporting
  • Support planning and design review coordination with Engineers and internal teams
  • Assist with subcontractor onboarding, including documentation and compliance requirements
  • Identify and help source new subcontractors as needed
  • Request, compile, and compare subcontractor quotes
  • Support pricing reviews and negotiations in coordination with the PM and CM
  • Maintain subcontractor contact lists and performance notes
  • Work alongside the Construction Manager and Quality Control Lead to:
  • Track QC findings
  • Follow up on corrections
  • Monitor subcontractor quality trends
  • Help enforce subcontractor quality expectations through documentation and follow-up
  • Support preparation for inspections and closeout activities
  • Assist with invoice review to confirm scope, quantities, and pricing
  • Support invoice approval workflows and resolution of discrepancies
  • Track procurement items, deliveries, and confirmations as needed
  • Maintain organized construction records for:
  • Site updates
  • Client reporting
  • Subcontractor documentation
  • QC and inspection records
  • Ensure documentation is timely, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Support PM reporting needs with reliable, current construction data
  • Serve as a coordination bridge between PMs, CMs, QC, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with subcontractors
  • Escalate issues with context and recommended next steps
