About The Position
The Landings Association is seeking a skilled Construction Specialist with expertise in operating a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machine to create wayfinding and road signs for the community's roads and paths. This role is hybrid, involving both wood shop tasks and various road and path maintenance responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and setting up the CNC machine to produce high-quality signage. Additionally, the role includes preparing and applying finishes to the signage in preparation for installation, ensuring that all products meet the community's standards for quality and durability. In this position, the Construction Specialist will also conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting on the CNC machine to ensure it operates smoothly and efficiently. Collaboration with a team of other construction specialists is essential, as the role involves maintaining roads and pathways. This includes operating various vehicles and heavy equipment such as 4x4 pickup trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, and loaders. The specialist will be tasked with removing and repairing asphalt and concrete areas as needed, constructing and painting signage, and performing other duties associated with road and path maintenance. Furthermore, the role requires preparing landscapes for infrastructure upgrades and maintenance, as well as clearing roadways and storm drains of dirt and debris to ensure safety and accessibility for residents and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by emergency situations. A valid driver's license and insurability at normal risk rates are also necessary for this position.
