About the position
ENGEO is hiring Special Inspectors! With ACI and ICC certifications, you will perform field duties which include reinforcing steel inspection, concrete placement inspection, and concrete sampling at various project sites for structures and walls. Additional inspection services, with applicable ACI, ICC, DSA, or AWS/CWI certifications, include pre-stressed/post-tensioned inspections, post-installed anchor inspections, masonry inspections, structural steel inspections for bolting and welding, wood framing and nailing inspections, fireproofing inspections, and non-destructive testing. Must use a Surface/Tablet computer (company provided) to provide written documentation of inspections, sampling, and field test results daily. We are looking for team players with good communication skills and drive to exceed client needs!
Responsibilities
- Perform reinforcing steel inspection, concrete placement inspection, and concrete sampling at various project sites.
- Conduct pre-stressed/post-tensioned inspections, post-installed anchor inspections, masonry inspections, structural steel inspections for bolting and welding, wood framing and nailing inspections, fireproofing inspections, and non-destructive testing.
- Use a Surface/Tablet computer to document inspections, sampling, and field test results daily.
Requirements
- High School/GED required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- ACI Field Grade Testing 1 certification.
- ICC Master of Special Inspection certification.
- ICC Reinforced Concrete certification.
- ICC Structural Masonry certification.
- ICC Structural Steel and Bolting certification.
- ICC Structural Welding certification.
- ICC Pre-Stressed Concrete certification (a plus, or obtain within agreed upon timeframe).
- Active membership with Local Operating Engineers 3 union (may join upon hire).
- Other ACI, ICC, DSA, NDT, or AWS/CWI Certifications (a plus).
- Military veterans (preferred).
