If you enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced environment, then we would love to hear from you! — Who You Are: The Assistant Manager, Retail Construction Sourcing, supports Capri’s Retail Development organization by sourcing, bidding, negotiating, and contracting materials and trade services required for store construction and remodels. This role ensures consistent procurement standards across Capri’s brands by managing centralized sourcing processes that protect cost, quality, and schedule while maintaining compliance with Capri policies and construction controls. You will partner closely with Construction Project Managers, Design, VM, Loss Prevention, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to deliver high‑quality retail environments aligned with each brand’s aesthetic and operational requirements. What You’ll Do: Assist Strategic Sourcing for Capri Retail Development Maintain brand‑aligned vendor panels (GCs, millworkers, fixture manufacturers, signage, lighting, and specialty trades). Assist in running competitive RFP events, bid leveling, and conducting total cost analysis. Support category strategies such as fixture standardization, regional contractor process flows, and consolidated material programs. Assist with Pre‑Construction & Award Process Assist in validating commercial terms in alignment with Capri standards and capex/approval thresholds. Issue and administer purchase orders and contracts within Capri systems, ensuring accurate cost coding, budget alignment, and financial traceability. Maintain organized documentation, including leveling documents, award summaries, and CO logs. Ensure all vendors meet Capri onboarding requirements (Coupa, W‑9/W‑8, COIs with proper endorsements, safety documentation, lien waivers, and banking validation). Track vendor performance across brands and support ongoing vendor panel evaluations. Track and expedite procurement on milestone items based on construction schedules and escalate long‑lead or at‑risk items proactively. Partner with PMs to manage project budgets, committed costs, accruals, and close‑outs. Partner with Sourcing to enable reporting savings to leadership, including cycle times, and vendor performance insights. Work closely with Sourcing, Capri Design, Construction, Visual Merchandising, Loss Prevention/Security, Store Planning, Finance, and Legal. Support special initiatives such as fixture programs, remodel waves, sustainability efforts, and flagship‑level store enhancements.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in retail construction sourcing or construction management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to bid, analyze, and award construction trades and custom millwork/fixtures.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, long‑lead items, and retail build‑out requirements.
  • Experience with procurement controls (COIs, lien waivers, change‑order processes).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple bids and awards simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of import logistics and regional construction regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, MS Project, and Procore.
  • Experience supporting premium or luxury retail environments.
