About The Position

Autonomous Solutions Inc builds autonomous systems for fleets operating in demanding, high-risk, and repetitive environments. Founded in 2000, we've grown into one of the largest privately held robotics companies in the world, with deployments across heavy construction, agriculture, logistics, and landscaping. Our work is guided by seven core values: Simplicity, Safety, Transparency, Humility, Attention to Detail, Autonomy, and Growth. Being privately held means good ideas move quickly, ownership is real, and the work you do here shows up in the world. As a Construction Superintendent in Civil Construction, you will direct all field operations for civil construction projects, serving as the primary on-site authority over safety, schedule, quality, and crew performance. You will translate project plans into daily execution, manage subcontractors and field crews, and keep work moving against milestones and budget. This role is for someone equally comfortable leading a toolbox talk and reviewing a master schedule.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of civil construction field experience, including 3-5 years as a superintendent.
  • Demonstrated experience on civil projects such as roadways, earthwork, utilities, or site development.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing for civil work.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting civil engineering plans, specifications, and survey data.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore or Viewpoint.

Responsibilities

  • Direct on-site construction activities across roadways, earthwork, utilities, and drainage.
  • Serve as primary on-site contact for owners, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules including 3-week lookaheads and the master schedule.
  • Champion job site safety, conduct daily inspections, and enforce OSHA compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor field crews including foremen, laborers, operators, and craft workers.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, scheduling, and contract compliance.
  • Implement and enforce the project QC/QA plan to specification.
  • Maintain daily job logs, field reports, RFIs, and change order documentation.
