About The Position

Its services include Engineering, Project Management, and Validation. MMR Consulting has offices across North America and Asia. This is an outstanding opportunity to join our growing team, where the successful candidate will work with a group of engineers involved in the design, commissioning & qualification, start-up and project management of various processes, systems, and facilities. The work will require working out of the client’s facilities in the Greater Chicago Area. Responsibilities The Construction Site Contract Administrator will manage all contract-related activities for the construction and commissioning of a high-capacity biotechnology processing facility. This role ensures that contracts are executed efficiently, risks are mitigated, and all stakeholders (engineering, procurement, construction, and process teams) remain aligned with project goals, regulatory standards, and timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
  • 5–10+ years in contract administration, with experience on large construction project contracts (over $100M, preferably over $1BN).
  • Strong contract interpretation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent stakeholder coordination
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • On-site presence essential

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in biotech/pharma or regulated industries preferred but not required.
  • Experience managing large construction contracts
  • Understanding of bioprocessing facilities and cleanroom construction, is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage EPC and/or CM, subcontractors, and vendor contracts across the project lifecycle
  • Interpret contract terms and ensure compliance with scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Track and manage variations, change orders, and claims
  • Support contract negotiations, amendments, and dispute resolution
  • Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams
  • Monitor contractor performance against budget and schedule
  • Support cost forecasting, payment certification, and invoice validation
  • Identify contractual risks and ensure GMP and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
  • Liaise with global partners and automation teams
  • Support alignment between construction and process development teams
  • Maintain contract registers and reports
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
