About The Position

The Construction Services Specialist is tasked with being a multi-skilled professional responsible for performing a wide range of renovation and recordation tasks. This role is tasked with focusing on the timely and high- quality refurbishment of assisted living units, including rooms, apartments, and cottages, ensuring they mee established standard for safety, functionality, and aesthetics. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have knowledge of/experience in the following: Strong proficiency in technology and systems management - Office Suite ( Microsoft), and project management systems Proficient interpersonal skills - Able to communicate effectively, both orally and written, with all levels of stakeholders (donors, board members, residents and their families, team members, external partners, etc.); Represents the organization in a professional and engaging manner Project management strategies - Demonstrate your systematic approach to managing multiple projects and meeting goals in a timely manner

Requirements

• Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• 3 years’ experience in residential and/or commercial construction (preferred but not required)

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience in technical training (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Dismantle unit to be turned over by removing carpet, drapes, kitchen and any other items required to update the living unit
• Prepare for painting by patching holes, repairing cracks and removing wallpaper
• Paint walls, trim, doors and other painted surfaces
• Work on miscellaneous drywall and carpentry duties such as replacing doors, adding partitions, installing kitchens and vanities
• Install plumbing to dishwashers, sinks and vanities etc.
