Participate in field activities on projects with varying levels of complexity and construction conditions. Provide on-site representation for a variety of transportation projects, supporting tasks such as documentation, material testing, survey coordination, and more. Travel to project sites as needed to complete field responsibilities. Apply engineering and technical knowledge to support construction-related duties. Assist with field observations on less complex construction projects to ensure conformance with contract documents. Maintain daily documentation of certified work and enter quantities into recordkeeping systems or contract administration software. Communicate regularly with engineers, contractors, landowners, utility companies, and public stakeholders regarding project progress and concerns. Support monitoring of contractor schedules and construction progress, reporting updates to senior construction staff and project managers. Assist in developing project punch lists and compiling final documentation in accordance with contract requirements. Help prepare record drawings and maintain project files and digital records. Monitor contractor activities on-site under direct supervision. Handle basic issues independently and escalate more complex matters to senior staff.
