About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Construction Services Engineer IV to join our talented Construction Services team! This position involves assisting the Construction Practice Leader, Senior Professional Engineers, and Project Managers in organizing, managing, coordinating, and completing the construction phases of projects with limited input. The role also includes leading business development opportunities, monitoring safety and quality of performance, and developing strategies to improve operations while ensuring projects stay within budgets and timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of CO.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects through prioritization and workload scheduling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software, spreadsheets, and project scheduling software.
  • Ability to learn various construction administration software applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Ten (10)+ years of construction industry experience.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, scheduling, and construction administration.
  • Ability to travel long distances daily to reach project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in formulating the Construction Practice direction and completion of supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in the formation and implementation of the Construction Practice Business Plans.
  • Actively participate in Leadership Training.
  • Assist with the management of capital requests and the group’s annual budgets.
  • Assist in project scoping, task hour budgets, schedules, and fee proposals.
  • Develop professional relationships with potential clients and maintain SEH’s database for project opportunities.
  • Identify, develop, and assist with sales opportunities through industry research and client interactions.
  • Manage projects with various documentation requirements related to Federal, State, and Local funding sources.
  • Supervise and mentor other construction personnel.
  • Travel to various project locations for quality audits and direct report check-ins.
