About The Position

The Construction Service Representative is responsible for assisting the Construction Service team with new homeowner customer service. This position will assist with the completion of warranty work tickets, including contacting and working with vendors and subcontractors to ensure completion and proper follow-up. This position will also guide new homeowners on the maintenance requirements of their new home. Responsibilities Interacts with residents by phone, email or in person and follows up on warranty work orders and other general questions Tracks warranty work orders to ensure completion in a timely manner Rekeys new homes prior to new homeowner occupancy Contacts and follows up with vendors and subcontractors on warranty related items and work tickets Administers and resolves warranty issues on new houses in a timely fashion Ensures prompt follow-up and communication with the homeowners at all times Utilizes applicable computer software programs to create and track warranty work tickets May perform new homeowner orientation walk-throughs to educate the homeowner and inspect the components of the house Maintains professionalism, including punctuality and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, at all times Pursues personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role Performs all duties in adherence to Colen Built standards Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of customer service experience preferred
  • Previous experience in home maintenance including air conditioning, minor electrical and plumbing preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English, have good verbal and written communication skills and write professional business correspondences
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office required
  • Extensive working knowledge of all paperwork procedures required
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and maintain organization in a changing environment to maintain efficiencies and meet deadlines
  • Ability to respond to specific inquiries or complaints in a calm and timely manner
